The Many Faces of Carmelita

HELLO DEVIANTART! LONG TIME NO PUNCH, EH?!

Wow, it's been quite a while since I've uploaded anything on this site and now I'm back! Hopefully I'll be somewhat active this time.

Anyways, this piece actually started out as some sketches in my sketchbook out of pure bordem. I ended up liking them and decided to render them digitally. Ta-da! I tried out some new coloring techniques and I'm very happy on how it came out. The background was, and still kinda is, bothering me. I had planned on keeping it a light grey, but then I added some effects (rays of light, cop lights, etc.) and made the grey darker to bring out the contrast. But, oh well, it's not too bad I guess. I tried my best to clean up any stray marks, but got a bit lazy so please ignore the mistakes. I also had no idea what to name this piece so.. yeah.

Carmelita is one of my favorite characters, so drawing her is always fun. She looks like the kinda gal who would have some Beyoncé song as her background music while kicking some ass or simply walking down the street. Maybe Flawless? Haha, I don't know. Anyways, I hope y'all enjoy it.
